Pan Aadhaar Link: The government have extended the final date for linking PAN with Aadhaar by three months. Now any PAN holder can link their PAN with their Aadhaar till June 30 at a late fee.

The date for linking PAN with Aadhaar has been extended by the central authorities. Issuing a statement, the government mentioned that the final date for linking Aadhaar with PAN is being prolonged by three months to June 30.

Let me inform you, earlier in the round issued by the government, it was said that March 31 is the final date for linking PAN with Aadhaar. If one doesn’t do that, his PAN will probably be deactivated, and he will face issues in submitting income tax as well as doing financial transactions.


The PAN-Aadhaar link might be done with a late fee

As per the present system, any person whose PAN will not be linked with Aadhaar. He can simply link his PAN with an Aadhaar card (Pan-Aadhaar Link) online by visiting the Income Tax website. However, for this, he should pay a late price of Rs 1000.


PAN will become inactive after July 1, 2023

After the brand-new deadline, if you don’t link your PAN with your Aadhaar by June 30, 2023, then your PAN will develop into inactive from July 1, 2023. You could face difficulties in doing monetary transactions. As per Section 139A of the Income Tax Act, all eligible PAN holders must link their PAN with their Aadhaar from July 1, 2017.

How to check whether PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not

Step 1: Go to Aadhaar Status by visiting the Income Tax e-filing website or click on right here – incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/Aadhaar status
Step 2: Enter PAN and Aadhaar number
Step 3: Click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’
Step 4: The status of the link will seem on the next display screen.
